TOKIO Inkarami Snowboard ClubTeikatsu HasegawaHASEGAWA Taiga
He began snowboarding at age 4 and made his competitive debut at age 8.
He emerged as a promising young athlete during his junior years and won the Big Air event at the 2021 Junior World Championships. Furthermore, he became the first Japanese athlete to win a gold medal in the Big Air event at the 2023 World Championships. He also proved his prowess on the international stage by winning both the Big Air and Slopestyle events at the Junior World Championships that same year.
At the 2024 X Games Big Air event, he won with an overwhelming performance that left the competition in the dust. He has demonstrated consistent strength by winning the 2025 World Cup discipline title (Big Air) and the overall World Cup title.
A particularly noteworthy achievement for Hasegawa is that in September 2023, he became the first person in the world to successfully land a 5½-rotation trick in all four directions—backside, frontside, cab, and switch backside—a feat that sent shockwaves through the snowboarding world.
He is the new leader of Japan's young team and is very determined to "go for the gold medal if I am going to compete" at the 2026 Cortina Olympics in Milan.
