Inspired by his parents, he started snowboarding at the age of three and began to show his talent from an early age.
A video of him successfully landing a backside 1080 (a triple rotation) at the age of nine went viral. He then turned pro at the young age of 12 and honed his skills in competitions both in Japan and abroad.

After claiming his first victory at the 2023 World Cup Big Air, he made a major leap forward during the 2024–25 season, securing his second career World Cup win in 2024. At the 2025 X Games Big Air, he became the first competitor in the event’s history to land a backside 2340 (six and a half rotations), winning his first title.

He is also expected to play an active role in the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics.
