The 2026 Winter X Games Aspen will be held in the United States at Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, Colorado, from Friday, January 23, to Sunday, January 25.The event was held until [date].


 [Aspen, Colorado (Kyodo News)] The second day of the Winter X Games, an invitational tournament featuring the world’s top professionals, took place on the 24th in Aspen, Colorado. In the women’s snowboard big air event,Kokomo Murase, a member of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics team, scored 96.66 points to win her third title—her first in two tournaments. while in the men’s event, fellow Olympic team member Hiroto Ogiwara (both of TOKIO Inkarami) scored 93.66 points to win his second consecutive title.
According to the organizers,Kokomo Murase became the first woman in the world to successfully land the “Backside Triple Cork 1620”—an ultra-difficult trick involving three vertical rotations and four and a half horizontal rotations on a diagonal axis—in a competitive setting. Hiroto Ogiwara landed the “Backside 2340”—a six-and-a-half-rotation trick he first successfully performed last year—and both athletes secured results that will give them momentum heading into the Olympics.
