Mizuki Hirai won the women's 50m backstroke with a time of 24.95 seconds at the 67th Japan Short Course Championship Swimming Meet held at the Tokyo Aquatics Center on October 18 (Sat.) and 19 (Sun.), 2025!
This is a new Japanese record for shortstroke and a new world junior record for shortstroke, breaking Aya Terakawa's 26.05 set in 2013 and breaking the 25-second mark for the first time.
