At the Figure Skating Grand Prix Series’ first event, the French Grand Prix, held in Angers, France, from Friday, October 17 to Sunday, October 19, 2025, Ami Nakai claimed her first victory with a total score of 227.08 points—more than 20 points higher than her personal best!
This marks the highest score in the world this season. It also makes her the third Japanese woman to win her Grand Prix debut, serving as an excellent warm-up for the Milan-Cortina Olympics scheduled for next February.
