We are pleased to announce that boccia player Hidetaka Sugimura has signed an affiliation contract with IFING Corporation (Head office: Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Eisho Fuyuhiro; Brand name: TOKIO Inkarami) effective April 1, 2024.
We also signed a Gold Partner Agreement with the Japan Boccia Association.

Sugimura Hidetaka
Date of birth: March 1, 1982
Birthplace: Shizuoka Prefecture

In his senior year of high school, he started playing boccia after being shown a video at school.
He has competed in three consecutive Paralympics since his first appearance at the London 2012 Paralympics.

He contributed to the team silver medal at the Rio 2016 Paralympics,
At the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, he won an individual gold medal and a bronze medal in the team competition.

He has congenital cerebral palsy and cannot move his hands or feet freely.
With cerebral palsy, which makes it difficult to maintain body balance, physical training is rarely used by athletes, but after the Rio 2016 Paralympics, she incorporated core training and won a long-sought individual gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
