On April 2, a "parkour" competition was held at Kokura Castle in Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu City, where athletes gave a dynamic performance by leaping and spinning to overcome obstacles.
This is a pre-event for the World Gymnastics and Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships that will open on the 18th in the city. In parkour, participants jump over obstacles by adding acrobatic movements to running, flying, and climbing to compete for the best performance. 14 men and 5 women competed in this event, jumping off high platforms and bars set up in front of Kokura Castle in 90 seconds.
